Final Film Opening- Final Reflection- (Evaluation)

I think the strongest post production decision was changing how the final phone call played out. At first, we had all of Daren’s dialogue and then all of Spencer’s, but I realized it did not line up right. So as the editor I decided to change the shots so the screen switches between them as the call happens, which made the pacing smoother and added more tension and wondering. For example, when Daren asks if I was passed out, it cuts to Spencer right away to show his reaction. One challenge I faced during editing was that our original cut was way too long, so I had to trim, speed up, and shorten clips, which wasn’t easy but helped us get the final video to around two minutes. Adjusting the audio levels improved the film the most because the background music originally overpowered the dialogue, and boosting the voices made everything clearer and more effective for the audience.
